Last night was a little chilly but I think the kid had a great time (little and big). The track was slick until you got some heat in your tires, but there was some great racing. I want to thank everyone that came out to support the MKA.

I want to thanks the Kendrick’s and the Ramsey’s for the soup and the deer sausage. Thanks need to go out to Bobby, Julie and Jennive for all their work this weekend and all year.

Give me a week or so and I will have all the point updated.

Just a reminder that we will have a work day to get the light project started the first weekend in Nov. 7.

AAAAAAAAAMEN!

That sausage was THE BOMB!

And the soup that Mrs. Kendrick made was the best soup I've ever had! (PLEASE POST THE RECIPE... PLEASE!!!!)

I think last night was the FUNNEST race of the season. It was a bit chilly, but it sure did beat being out at the track on some of those 100deg+ days that we had this past summer.

Maybe we can finish our lights, and next year run all of them at night!

Rusty, we should add a rule to the rule book this year. (When ever there is a NIGHT race at the MKA track Mrs. Kendrick and Mrs. Ramsey HAVE TO COOK!) LOL!

I tell you, anybody that missed last nights race... REALLY MISSED OUT! And we ate your part of the sausage & soup!

Also Mic and I want to thank EVERYONE that helped Sawyer this year. Thanks To the Kendricks for the Kart. Thanks to Mr. Bobby for all of the COACHING and advice. Thanks to Rusty & Ruston Ramsey for all the great races. And PETER TOO! And everyone else that let the little blonde be a PAIN in your butt while you were out at the track!
She considers all of you Her Friends! And she already can't wait till next year!

if the kids step up into the two stroke class, I'll definitely have to pull funds together to get a KT for my Shadow and join you guys.

Looks like the 2-cycle class may well be the best class out there next year. I'm putting Will in a 2-cycle Yamaha.
Building it per WKA Man. Cup Yamaha specs with the 4-hole can and the small WB55 carb. Fast and reliable !!!
We will run with support from SMC clutches , TS Racing Engines , RLV and MGM Chassis.
Looking forward to a great year !!!

Don, several people have ask me to find out from Tom if he is going to offer a 2 cycle dry clutch, they have the new horseman now but would like to run SMC if he will build one.
Can you call Tom and let him know there is a market for this, the ones who use them now really like not having to fool with the oil....

BTW we changed the date of the night race for you and yall did not show up ???

Bobby:
I talked with him about a week ago. He has done some work on a prototype, but basically set it aside because he didn't think there as enough interest. I am definately looking for an alternative to the small Horstman dry clutch. I do not like it at all. I actually prefer an oil clutch, but I have been told by everybody that it's not competative with a can. I have not had time to test that, but plan to work on it this winter. In my opinion, the oil clutch is much better way to go if it is competative. A yamaha just puts a lot of abuse on a clutch if you are going to go fast. He was a very friendly, and we spent at least an hour talking. About half of that was reminising old times. If he were to build something, I would definately like to take a look at it.

Hey sorry we didn't make it ! I certainly planned on it as I even had the trailer loaded. However , the "little wheelholder" said he wanted to goto the Bama game instead. Guess I could have made him go racing instead , but I've experience too much of that with MX racing and don't want to take the "fun" out of it for him. If he wants to race-- we will. If he feels otherwise---its fine.

As for the SMC clutch.......let me do some more investigation with Tom to see what is going to be available and when. But like David said....there is atleast one in existence. Now it's just a matter of it being profitable to put it into production. But I can say this....we aren't planning on racing a Horstman !!!

Hey folks we have been running the horstman hdc5 2 disk for the last year and a half
all i can say about them is that we are able to keep up in the top 4 or 5 at the races we have been in
(only 3 karts running:) we havent had any problems with them i have run both wet and dry clutches
with the wet clutch its a pain with all of the oil getting everywhere. with the dry clutch the only problem we have had has been with the bushings on the hub going out and the spacers between
the engine and the clutch wearing out. found out that triflo does a great job of preventing these
issues. we have had no problems with slipping and have only replaced the friction disk once
in the 14 months we have had them. i would like to see a smc 2 cycle clutch that would work
we had great success with the vortex on the 4 cycle karts.
